Natalie completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with a double minor in biology and psychology from McMaster University in 2010. While at McMaster, Natalie was the program coordinator for a physical activity program for adults with cognitive and physical disabilities, and acted as the lead student therapist for the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse and Rugby teams.
Natalie then completed a Masters of physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2013. During her masters, Natalie was elected as the professional representative on the Rehabilitation Student Council, and mentored 1st year students.
As a physiotherapist, Natalie highly values the role of continuing education, as it facilitates the ability to offer a variety of tools, catered to each individual. In her 6 years of practice, Natalie has completed courses in manual therapy and needling, muscle compensation patterning, therapeutic taping, and concussion and vestibular conditions. She is certified in Soft Tissue Release, the McMaster Medical Acupuncture Course, KinetaCore Functional Dry Needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, NeuroKinetic Therapy, Barefoot Training, and Concussion Rehab Works for concussion and vestibular assessment and treatment.
Treatment with Natalie will include detailed assessment and treatment of the acute injury, identifying the dysfunction that contributed to said injury, and providing exercise prescription and education to manage current episodes and prevent future ones.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys running, trail biking, resistance training, being outdoors, and learning the game of golf. Through her active lifestyle, she appreciates the need to stay mobile and strong!
